SAP is a big part of project work. Lots of internal departments are integral to project execution. I worked in the rotor wing aviation dept. Was never very organized always had to work overtime. Most of the time my schedule was 12 days on 2 days off and then swapped to night shift. And the the same thing over again. Never enough people on the maintenance crew and forced to work overtime, or you will get a low PMP which you will probably get anyway.
Pretty much a culture of us against them, expats vs Saudis and your going to lose over there. The mental and emotional frustration is all ways going on in your head, after awhile it’s just not worth it. Trying to get rid of all expats so saudization is in full swing, but the only problem is that most are completely lazy so without us nothing would get done. The Expatriate community overseas is exceptional on the compound.
Most of the Saudi's are nice as well. The problem is the lack of management, lack of follow through and just lack of caring from everyone is literally one of a kind.Historically (think 20+ years ago) it was a great place. Now it's coasting off it's reputation and NOT in a good direction. They're also now trying to cut costs, which means by default cut America's and Canadians.
